JOHN PAGLIANO
On Life, Music & Dreams

Q: Is there a story behind “Gone Away To Yesterday,” your current single?
JOHN: There is a story behind "Gone Away To Yesterday." When I was performing in a band called Cold Cellar, the lead singer had a great deal of influence on me musically and personally. His name was Junior Rivera. He was larger than life with a smile that would go from ear to ear all the time. He also was like a big brother to me. I did not have my own big brother because he died before I was born never. Junior was eager to step in and help and advise me through my young years. Later, when I was married with two daughters of my own, he visited us and we discussed getting the band back together. He was so excited and I could not wait. Two weeks later Junior was killed in a motorcycle accident in LA. Junior always told me to write. He said I had a gift and to use it. "Gone Away To Yesterday " is in his memory. I miss him and will love him forever . A great voice and talent silenced.
Q: Name your dream vacation
JOHN: My dream vacation is to go to Los Angeles. My wife and I would love to sit on the beach and enjoy the nightlife. I would love to relax on the coast and possibly work on a song or two.
Q: Is there anything about your life you would change?
JOHN: My life is great, but the only thing I would change is I would have like to perform more and work with as many musicians as possible. Working in the studio or on a set would be the best. Music has always been my life and always will be.
Q: Give some advice to people who are just starting out in the music business
JOHN: Don't give up on your dream. Keep going when things look bad and push hard. If you get lucky enough to meet people like I have (the Independent Music Network, too) , that is good. Look for people in your life and they will change it for the better. I promise you.
