The Keeper of Dreams ----THADEUS PROJECT
After several single releases which zoomed to the top, Thadeus Project has released their new CD, Keeper of Dreams. It was well worth the wait. Check out what this duo has to say about their music which always puts them at the top of the charts. Q: What is the meaning behind "Keeper of Dreams"? Glenn: “Keeper of Dreams” is a metaphor for that spirit in us all. It helps us rise to the occasion, deal with failure, be more and dream more,it gives rise to the mystic powers we have within our souls to be better and wiser. Ted: “Keeper of Dreams” has a personal meaning to me. Dealing with the tragic lost of my parents four years ago, trying to somehow make good out of it and carry on and keep that dream alive and honor them with that effort. Q: "Rain for the Roses" was a solid hit for Thadeus Project and it is from this CD. What is the story behind this song? Glenn: “Rain for the Roses” is about taking the good times with the bad. While things can some times get 'fuzzy, and out of proportion, life carries on. It's up to us to get back on the bus. There's a natural cycle to things. The gray rainy days bring forth a new day. It never rains forever, so be strong, hold on. There's a rose right behind the rain. Q: Talk about "Run Rabbit Run," another hit from this CD. Glenn: “Run Rabbit Run” is about the way our lives have become managed by people, places and things all around us. For example: “Stay on this side of the fence.'' “Everyone does it this way.” “It's always been done this way.” “Go when we tell you.” When we were young, we were taught to only color between the lines. It's all about the sometimes stifling and ridged systems and education we program ourselves unwillingly to. You know the sayings: “Be like everybody else.” “Stay in the box'.” There happens to be a million ways we enslave ourselves to this narrow thinking. Q: You have a lot of hits on this CD, but which song will not be released as a single? Ted: i would say “Babylon.” It's a beautiful song but more a album cut. It is too long perhaps for radio. Q: Glenn, what is your favorite track on the CD? You must have one. GLENN: Actually, I have two --- “Run Rabbit Run” because I just like the song. The other would have to be “Desert Night” because I just really like the jam feel and the sheer rootsiness of the sound. Q: What about you Ted? Ted: I would have to agree with Glenn but the title track is my favorite because it has all the bells and whistles. And it is our current single, “Keeper of Dreams.” Visit Thadeus Project at www.thadeusproject.com and on My Space at www.myspace.com/thadeusproject.
Meet Sum-in 1
Aaron decided to plug the microphone into his mixer and writing lyrics and freestyle rapping. Over a period of time, he evolved from being a DJ into being an MC. He was strongly influenced by many of the great MC’s and Rappers who came before him, along with other revolutionary musical talents, such as Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Bob Marley. Aaron also studied creative writing to enhance his skills at lyricism while working as a teacher’s assistant for the Los Angles Unified School District. Aaron educated the youth in all elements of Hip Hop in a special after school program he helped organize with other sponsors of the Los Angeles community. Always searching for the right beat to rap to, Aaron began studying music technology in college from 2000 to 2002 and learned the art of beat making. He composed his first beat in 2001. His main inspiration for beat production was the legendary Dr. Dre. Aaron applied his knowledge from being a DJ toward creating musical beats. This method aided him to develop a finely tuned ear for musical composition and style. But on July 31st, 2004, Aaron’s life changed forever. He was involved in a severe car accident, which left him with a near death, out-of-body experience to ponder. Heading home on a California freeway after a performance, Aaron crashed into a parked police car, in the slow lane, at about sixty miles an hour. The impact knocked the two officers inside the car unconscious, breaking the female officer’s nose and inflicting severe whiplash to the male officer sitting in the passenger seat. Awaking from the accident with an air bag smothering his face and his car utterly demolished, Aaron, and the officer’s lives were spared. Luckily Aaron suffered no bodily injuries. This intense and eye-opening experience gave birth to a new outlook on life and a renewed chance to truly live life in full appreciation for the first time. Aaron humbled himself and completely dedicated his efforts toward his music from that point forward. Today, his single “Anywhere” is part of the Independent Music Network’s August syndicated radio show and making moves up the charts.
